Reduced Council tax for students

thast right, i have a poor mate who was doing a 3 year course when his housemates are all doing 4 year ones, theyre in their last year and he still lives with them, so had to pay 75% of council tax on a four bed house! when my oh moves in, we had agreed that he will pay 50% and i will pay 25%, as teh 25% discount is awarded coz i live there and he earns much more than i get from my loan and job.

My wife is returning to uni in September. We have 3 children (all under 7) so there's 5 people living in the house altogether. Will we be entitled to the 25% reduction, as she's the only student?

Only adults over 18 count towards council tax, so their will be only 1 adult in the property for Council Tax purposes as your wife will be disregarded and a 25% discount given (if she's F/T)
