You've been renting for the past 20 years.

Easy to see why you want to slag off all the house price indices.

Still a fair bit away from 20 years. But I'll put the factual inaccuracies in the par for the course section.
I'm more interested in your point.

    What is it again? :)
Oh yes. Apparently I should have bought when I left home at 17 or something.

I don't think you were in a position to at that age.

Although I'd be surprised if you couldn't have bought from mid 20's onwards. Still, too late now.
If I don't reply to your post,
you're probably on my ignore list.

There is no mortgage on the building site i have been living on for the last few months for free, everybody around here with a deposit in place will not buy a home yet because prices are still falling and the houses are still not selling.

Peak price is just a made up number that doesnt represent anywhere near value for money.

You must be living in a portakabin?odd you also quote how the estate you live on is full of 'chavs'.

Seems odd to build houses in such a 'crap' area.

:rotfl: I don't know Jacks. I'd suggest that as a newbie you want to get used to the rough and tumble of the house price debate forum.
You've only taken a couple of jabs, and bam, you're chasing me across multiple threads.

So that fact that I was renting at 17 is pretty uniteresting then.
You seemed to think 20 years was quite important. :rotfl:

Oh, and its actually been 4 years since the global financial meltdown. Funny how you guys are never inclinded to do the maths with that one factored in. ;)

And I'll say that you need to trot back across multiple threads deleting your posts in order to negate my observation.

Cos, and you don't seem to have grasped this, unsubstantiated assertion may be rife on this board, but no one actually falls for it. ;)

Or to put it another way, all stalk and no play makes Jack a dull boy.

Probably not as important as 10 years ago, when you could so easily have bought at half today's prices.

Shame you allowed that opportunity to pass you by.
