I recently decide to stop paying my credit card for a few months. I needed a new car and wanted a tablet for my daughter. I think there is nothing wrong in taking care of one's kids, so paying the CC was hardly a priority.
Anyway, the CC kept phoning me up - sometimes in the evening! I told them it was harassment under the Consumer Harassment Act 1974 (I know my rights, thanks MSE!). Typical greedy bankers only thinking of themselves (LOL).
They took me to court. They couldn't be bothered to tell me about it - they said they sent something through the post, but I never open the post. I now have a CCJ. So what, I thought. They can stuff it - that will teach them a lesson!! (LOL)
I want to get onto the property ladder but was refused a mortage. They said it was because I had a CCJ.
Can they do that? Is it legal? Surely it's none of their business....? Perhaps some expert out there can enlighten me.
(PS my Experian rating is "good to rather good" and I always pay my bills on time when I want to.)
You have set a new record, infact smashed the old one stupid by over 1900 posts.
You sir are THE troll with the highest post count EVER!!!!!0 -

Its a pity you didn't take out PPI on the credit card as it provides excellent value :whistle:and it would have willing paid your credit card for you whilst you took a break.
I presume some cost cutting is out the question? As mentioned its probably a human right to have a PC, Broadband, Iphone contract, hair dye, a big dog, ciggies, 8 pints on a Saturday and a car.
(And I have never understood why the government don't provide tattoos for free as Brussels say I should be free to express myself) anyway, other cost cutting could be to sell your car and buy a cheaper one from Carcraft over 12 years at 42% APR.
Alternatively can I suggest claiming from your car insurance for a minor whiplash injury? its a popular short term benefit available to all.0 -
I hoper you now realise, chatty, that a Direct Debit would have saved you all this hassle! Repent for your previous sins against the mighty DD!0
