MSE forced to hand over users ID's - Court Order

the problem here would be a user who registers while using inprivate browsing as that basicaly hides your true ip address and gives you a new one,
If you mean the private browsing function in your web browser, then it doesn't change your IP address. It merely avoids leaving any history on your PC, such as cookies, cached content or history entries. What goes around - comes around0 -

I think it's a case by case scenario, whereas MSE have had to be forced to hand over very little details about each 1 of us, but maybe in the future they will have something in place to stop lawyers been able to go to court and action the notices etc.,
Im curious, obviously you should not answer this if it would in any way predjudice your case, or disadvantage you in any way etc - but were you contacted by MSE about this issue, did they ask for your side of the story, if you could back up what you said etc?
Did you know about the court proceedings at all? Were you given the opportunity to submit (in private) evidence to the judge to prove your case?
Did anyone discuss it with you? Did MSE make any attempt to find out yourside that you are aware of? Or did you just hear the news about it, and that was the first you knew?[greenhighlight]but it matters when the most senior politician in the land is happy to use language and examples that are simply not true.

The impact of this is to stigmatise people on benefits,
and we should be deeply worried about that[/redtitle](house of lords debate, talking about Cameron)0 -
I have followed all the threads on Wyvern Media with anticipation, and also saw the television programme aired on BBC West Midlands the other evening.
None of the comments on here or the statements on the BBC portray this company exactly how they are.
Wyvern Media are a group of bully boys and conmen!
Not only do they persistently ring you (up to 8/9 times a day) but when you say NO!, they then put an order through in your name and send you the bill and if this doesn't happen then another publication will ring offering a better deal than the last in order to get more money from you and then this company send you a bill.
If you don't pay the bill you've received then you get either a young girl in "the accounts" department ringing you or a very abusive 'director' threatening court action against you for something you haven't even ordered!
Before the billing process, they will offer you the world for £100, being delivered to 250,000 people every week - hahahahaha.
My real local newspaper doesn't print that many a week, never mind a group of ad rags full of phoney adverts because noone has booked them.
OVERALL - NO GOOD!0 -
I saw the program. My heart goes out to that pensioner and the lady who lost her business because these rogues were basically helping themselves to their money.
Surely there has to be some truth in it about this rather elaborate operation whereby once they get your card details they confuse the victim into actually believing that what they did to remove money from the card was legitimate.
Apparently there are HUNDREDS of people who have been affected. I wonder if there was any truth in the 3 that were named and sent a court order to 'silence' them.
Why haven't more people made this public, maybe they all have been 'silenced'. But more to the point, why haven't the banks investigated, surely if this has been going on people would have complained and got their money back under a chargeback, so the bank would be suspicious? No?
That pensioner was taken for £100k and the lady for £5k
This has made me very curious as the UK seems to be a haven for criminals. (Did anyone see Panorama where the Romanian beggers are putting 4year old on the street up til midnight to beg? Panorama followed them back to Romania where they all had huge villa's and drove BMWs, and whilst back there were still claiming benefits from the UK.
I digress. If it is true what those 3 put up on this forum then surely those 3 could effectively sue the law firm for defamation of character also as they were speaking the truth and if it can be proved they spoke the truth. :T0 -
Very interesting comments coming forward at the moment and once again, thank you!
Clearly, there's a lot more to this than many people know, although cannot post for reasons I'm sure you're all aware of.
There are other things still ongoing which will all come to light very soon, but I'd ask anyone who has had dealings with the said company or associated companies to come forward in light of everything ongoing, and post your comments but please be careful what you write - no 'defamatory' words, such as scam, conmen etc and also don't mention peoples names.

Hello everyone and thank you for your continued support :money:
So, the companies affiliated companies are now producing their distribution lists onto their websites, so we're now getting there.
Now all we need to do is ring around these lists and ensure that the 'drop off' points quoted, actually receive copies of each newspaper, to ensure that everyone is happy and how many they receive.
I think the companies should quote actual print figures onto every website, not quote higher print figures on the telephone, show their actual distribution points and how many copies of the publication they receive and accept payments only by 30 day invoice terms (so each company has peace of mind that they get what they book, before they have to pay anything).
This is how many of the legitimate newspaper publishers work, just look at Northcliffe Media and the way they work.:j:money:0 -

Do you mean this programme?
Worth a watch I think.0 -
And if private companies are allowed to know the true identities of posters it will be so much easier for the Govt to find out and come looking for you.
