While the next stage is to acquired the physical home address from the ISP and hence ID the computer....assuming it's a multiperson household, to ID the actual person might be rather more difficult.

    Its not that hard to narrow down the actual user and providing that they registered correct details then its even easier, the problem here would be a user who registers while using inprivate browsing as that basicaly hides your true ip address and gives you a new one, even doing this it can still be traced back simply via the ip address provider then with a court document/order get the true ip address and that shows your culprit, just takes a bit more time.
