Whatever happened to the days when you drove for the year of your insurance in the hope of not claiming to be rewarded with a lower premium the next year?

It just goes up regardless now. It's a con.

some lawyers dispute that the compensation culture is fuelling increased premiums but it has been reported that there have been cases of doctors, garages and lawyers working together in these scams.

Admiral will record someting like £292 million profit this year, They made £18 million of commission from claim management companies, for selling our data on, to the very companies they blame for all their ills.
So I won't lose sleep over the reasons they give.
