Help - what does this mean ???

I downloaded google chrome - to use instead of internet explorer....but deleted it and went back to using Internet explorer....but it says at the top of every screen " Internet explorer is currently running with add-ons disabled. click here to manage ,disable or remove your addons."
I think i need to use a newer exploere as well. mine is internet explorer 6 !!!!

jings, you're well behind, now on IE9, you could try that.

Edit: or you could try Firefox.

I know....some sites are displaying that i have an old internet explorer......but i just use it for browsing and sending emails etc......
should i download IE9?

Hi,

you could try it, you can always uninstall it through control panel, and revert back if you don't like it.

To install Internet Explorer 9, you need to upgrade to a more recent version of Windows

no I think its IE6. computer is about 5-6 years old ! would it be windows ME ?

Aaah perhaps I should have been more clear to you, your PC is running windows XP and the highest level of IE it will run is 8, thats why you got the message "To install Internet Explorer 9, you need to upgrade to a more recent version of Windows". Get 8 or go fo Firefox/Opera
