So how would you describe a two weeks suspension of JSA payment after a decision maker has decreed that the claimant was not available for work ?0
-
A disallowance0
-
I will accept disallowance as your answer in which case you're technically correct however I have never been approached by a customer wishing to appeal a disallowance, they always inform me that they have received a sanction which they wish to appeal.0
-
I wouldn't expect a claimant to know the difference, JCP staff I would0
-
Glad that was cleared up then

My clients don't know the difference either but I doI'll get you, my pretty, and your little dog too!0 -

You should receive your money as normal on Wednesday but not in a fortnight's time0 -
they were told the date of the specific period affected. so they will only be without money for that period assuming they dont get hardship or win an appeal. any payments for a period previous to that will still be paid.Availability or actively seeking - payment suspended until decision made
Refusing employment or fail to attend - payments allowed until decision made
if the claim was closed from a certian date then that would mean they would have to reapply but they have been told they have been sanctioned. they have not been told their claim has been closed.0 -
