Although it says in the offer that you can "choose your date and time to travel", and even encourages you to take advantage of the offer to do your christmas shopping, and to visit family and friends, the only tickets offered to me for the £1 price tag were between 11pm and 6am!!!!! How am I supposed to go shopping at midnight? And I'm pretty sure my family wont be too impressed if I turn up on their doorstep at 1am!!!! There is NO mention in the article t's & c's about these restrictions, and they only show up when you log on and try to purchase your tickets. I have sent this information to Watchdog, and I would encourage you all to do the same thing, as the more people that complain about the misleading advertising, the more likely we are going to be to get the prices that they quote at a reasonable time. If anyone does manage to find journey for £1 at a sensible time, please let me know they route that you have found it on, as so far I havent been able to find any. What a con!!!!!!!!
(taken from the Newspaper Summary thread for Oct 1st):
DAILY MIRROR
OFFER - COACH TRAVEL - £1 ONE-WAY FARES - NATIONAL EXPRESS
BOOK - Saturday October 1st to Saturday October 15th
TRAVEL - Saturday October 16th to Thursday 15th December
REGISTER & BOOK (and T&Cs) 280 ROUTES >>>
I just had a look on my route and the only times I could get for £1 were departing 12:30 on the Friday and returning at 07:30 on the Monday. Why is that a con? (I would have preferred the 23:30 coach but they were sold out!)
It looks like a good deal to me... Thanks for heads up!0 -
People REALLY need to learn what 'scam' means. Sheesh! It's not a scam, it's a good offer. Deal with it.0

The OP said it was a con (not a scam) but I do agree with you - I find it irritating when posters shout 'scam', 'con', 'rip-off' etc,
Invariably, when reading further, it's clear that they haven't been scammed, conned or ripped-off at all.0 -

I've a feeling some posts have been editted to change the word. I'm sure the original title said scam0 -
