it looks so weak compared to what it used to look like !
You might want to look at your punctuation, as I'm not sure exactly what you're asking
If the tree has orange patches, that might be bacterial canker.

Hi,
What can I spray on my apple tree to stop the leaves having holes in them?
At this stage not sure if its insect or bad health of tree, but got holes on leaves and some yellowing on the edges of some of them. The fruit is starting to grow and want to protect the tree - give it a bit of TLC.
Would organic be better than chemical - sorry a bit clueless!!0 -
Colect some nettlles (a good 3Kg of fresh ones), place into disused potatoe sack, put a heavy stone on and cover with water and place at the end of your garden.....The smell will become horid and after 3 or 4 weeks, you can spray this decoction on your tree. This is a natural pest repellent.0

Thanks a lot.
Any other suggestions for something I could use a bit sooner?0 -
Boiling water over cigarette butts will give an effective control of all sorts. any bugs with "waxy" coats you just add a little soap. There is good reason for not smoking, but if you have access no reason why not use it for good.
Suggest careful of effects on self, ie don't be caught down wind, and use when still and dry. good luck, this is poisonous, but will naturally deteriorate so therefore can be said to be "GREEN" as indeed you will be if you get a face full....... euggh!0 -
Thanks Renard, but gave up the cigs 2 years ago.
Is there anything I can buy in a garden centre ..etc??0 -
Why spend money for what works naturally? Red Fox is correct, a concoction of cigarette buts and washing up liquid (added at the end), is also an effective anti-pest formula (the wasking up liquid will help concoction stick to leaves). Visit your local pub for a quick harvest and do so before 1 st July !!!0
