I want to buy an MP3 player than can be charged through mains electricity rather than USB....
I'm going on a fairly remote holiday and want to get an MP3 player to take with me, I saw the new Ipod Shuffle on the John Lewis website for a bargain price of £55 but having read the reviews I see it's charged via USB port, I won't have access to a computer so need to find one that charges from the mains - does this exist?
Not fussed about a brand or what it looks like, just need it to do what it says on the tin!
Thanks in advance for any thoughts.
Edited to add:
Now that I know that there is such a thing as a mains USB adapter I have a dilemna...
Do I get the new 1gb Ipod Shuffle (which I can charge through an adapter whilst on holiday) - £55

or...
a Creative Zen Nano Plus 1gb (which takes an AAA battery) - £49

As I understand it you can't have playlists on the shuffle and it has no screen. Does anyone know whether if I load my songs in a particular order the shuffle will play them through sequentially, I have seen one review that says it does that or that it can be shuffled randomnly hence the name!
Which one would you go for?

Thanks for that, just clicked on that link and it says all types except shuffle though!0

Don't you get a main charger with it? I have a Sony which can charge via USB, but also got a mains charger with USB output.
Alternative is to get a battery-powered one (recently bought a Matsui 2gb from Currys for £25 - uses one AAA battery, rechargeable of course...).0 -
Get a mains adaptor that plugs into the mains and supplies power via a USB cable. I have been told that they are available but, as I have never wanted one, I don’t know where you can buy one.
I’m feeling kind so I have googled for you.
http://www.google.co.uk/search?as_q=mp3+mains+usb+charger&hl=en&num=10&btnG=Google+Search&as_epq=&as_oq=&as_eq=&lr=lang_en&as_ft=i&as_filetype=&as_qdr=all&as_occt=any&as_dt=i&as_sitesearch=&as_rights=&safe=images
The first item on that search looks like it will do the job for you.

If you're going abroad you'll need a travel plug anyway, so why not get one with a USB socket built-in?0

I particularly like TangleFoot's idea of a built in USB port on the travel adaptor - genius!0 -
