phone line/broadband??

Firstly I am posting this in internet access and phone line forums as I am not sure which section I need.

We currently have our phone line and calls from BT and our broadband via Plusnet.

We wish to leave Plusnet as we are not happy with the internet connection we receive.

We are looking to go to BT for total broadband and calls but are looking to use cashback sites. Having read the info on cashback sites we are unsure wether we have to click on broadband only or brandband and phone as the sites state that if we currently have a BT phone line we are ineligable for the call elliment of cashback. We do not want to end up with 2 seperate bills from BT ie one for broadband and another for calls. What would be our best way to go about it.

We realise there are alot of other broadband providers who maybe cheaper but we are not interested as we cannot access the speeds they offer due to an outdated exchange, but we do want BT openzone for mobile access.

Where we live we can only rarely manage to get 1meg speed so all these faster speeds are no good to us

I know nothing about cashback sites so cannot advise you their.

Plusnet is owned by BT, it is extremely doubtful if you will see any difference in speed simply by changing ISPs.
BT has not got the best of reputations as an ISP either.

What is wrong with the service you are currently getting?

Could you post your router line statistics?

Also check on Samknows for any LLU operators at your exchange as these may offer better value than BT
