Old Sky+ Box

Hello,
I rung sky last weekend to see if they had any offers available to me (been with Sky for 10 years)...so they looked and said that I could have the new Sky+ HD box for £29 and if I took the self install they would just charge me for postage and packaging - plus 25% off my bill for 12 months. I took the offer and replaced my old Sky+ box with the new one..
NOW, I have an existing multiroom box which is an older type standard Sky box - does anyone know if I can just plug my old Sky+ box into where my standard Sky box is?

Not quite, you will need to pair the card and box, also it will work with one feed but for the full Sky+ facility you will need to run an extra cable feed from the dish.0

..... and ask for the Sky+ functionality to be switched on (it's a separate procedure to card pairing and they sometimes forget if you don't remind them).Kurtis_Blue wrote: »Not quite, you will need to pair the card and box,Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. Hence, I have now deleted links to my previous 'pearls of wisdom'. I sincerely hope they helped save some of you money.0
