i'm really not sure what you're complaining about, you haven't been overcharged
what do you mean consumer rights?? of course tesco will be likely to be more expensive in london compared with elsewhere in the country for example??0 -
I am comparing two Tesco stores which are 6 miles apart outside London. I bought a laptop which is £140 cheaper in the other store.0

Which laptop was this btw?0

they're free to charge what they like where they like and you're free to either pay it or go to the cheaper store. you were clearly happy in paying the more expensive price though, so whether or not it'd be 'good customer service' (i hate that term), it doesn't need to be applied here because you haven't been mis-led or mis-soldhelpful tips
it's spelt d-e-f-i-n-i-t-e-l-y
there - 'in or at that place'
their - 'owned by them'
they're - 'they are'
it's bought not brought (i just bought my chicken a suit from that new shop for £6.34)0 -
Just called Tesco Customer services. According to their company policy all stores have independent prices! This is crazy! Does this comply with consumer rights?
As was said already:Tesco don't have uniform pricing.
Express, Filling Station and Extras often have different pricing to normal stores for a start.
Also DTD was stopped a while ago, and only covered competing stores.0 -

They can charge what they want as long as it matches the advertised price. So if they have advertised a product nationally at that price then all stores should have it at that price - except for any exceptions that they list.0 -

Why not just return it then buy at the cheaper store? (assuming laptops are part of their 28day return policy?)
As a consumer you have a rights regarding pricing is that it is clear & non-misleading, as it was.0 -
Why not return it for a refund and buy it from the cheaper store,0
