HTC Cha Cha Alarm Clock Issue

Does anyone else have this problem?

I have only had Nokia, Sony Ericsson and they have all woken up to ring the alarm.

I set my alarm last night, and missed my bus this morning, because it doesn't go off if phone is off!

Does anyone know a fix/app that could get around this? Otherwise I am going to have to buy an actual alarm clock!!

No app will work if the phone is physically switched off.
  • My last 2 Nokia dumbphones used to work like that (alarm would turn the phone on) but I've never seen a smartphone that functions in that way.

The Sony Ericsson Satio alarm does work when the phone is switched off.

Good news is, that if you switch the handset to airplane mode, the alarm will still function as normal, without you having to be disturbed by calls or sms :j
  • Ooh Airplane mode - thanks for that, I did wonder what that option did.

Airplane mode disables the RF section of the handset, but do remember if the captain says mobile handsets are to remain switched off then that way it has to be, a bloke from Nottingham got a few months in prison for thinking his technical knowledge was above the law of the aircraft captain :o
