Nicki re the front door - I have used a normal curtain rail thing attached to a front door before (one at top and another at the bottom to attach it to so it opens with the door IYSWIM).
Something like this
Not ideal but would certainly take a heavier curtain than what you've got up.Grocery Challenge £211/£455 (01/01-31/03)
2016 Sell: £125/£250
£1,000 Emergency Fund Challenge #78 £3.96 / £1,000Vet Fund: £410.93 / £1,000

There's a very funny double slanket reduced to £4 on Asda direct http://direct.asda.com/george/womens-nightwear/valentines-double-slanket/GEM148178,default,pd.html, and also some rather strange reductions which aren't marked up as sale, but these are generally on summer clothes. (eg this dress is £4 - http://direct.asda.com/george/womens/dresses/chevron-print-shirt-dress/GEM259720,default,pd.html )
If you see enough to spend £30 there is a code on the front page for £5 off. Collect in store is free.0 -

That is a lot of fleece fabric for the price if anyone needs to line curtains, door curtains, cot throws etc.
Arms cut off could be used as sausages for doors or to hold curtains on window ledges to stop drafts coming through, or deep neck scarf.0 -

I bought a sewing pattern for making myself fleecy pjs and I think this will be enough material for them.Need to get back to getting finances under control now kin kid at uni as savings are zilch

The first floor bathroom was always warm as it has no window and has the hot water tank in there. Since we fitted the extractor fan the bathroooms has been wuite chilly. Does anyone else have this problem and have any ideas of how to counteract it?
Cardboard Shutters? Do tell me more please!
