Hiya
I got a decent PPI refund from my bank two weeks ago, then I've just checked my bank account & it has gone in again yesterday. What do I do? I certainly don't want to bring it to their attention
can they take it back without telling me?!
Cheers!

Legally it's not yours so you will have to give it back... unfortunately.0

well I'm certainly not 'giving' it back. They'll have to take it because it's not my mistake!0

Imagine you were paying a bank bill on your card and accidentally paid it twice. What would you expect them to do?
What would you say if the bank then said 'its your mistake we're not paying you back'.
What would you think about that organisation?0 -
What I'm saying is, that I will not be bringing it to their attention. It is THEIR responsibility to ask me for it back. I am not saying, nor have I said, that I will refuse to pay it back. So if I had accidentally paid a bill twice, it is MY responsibility to bring the mistake to the bank. It isn't their responsibility & they never would say "you paid this twice so here's a refund" they would wait for me to point it out. So I will wait for the bank to point out their mistake, is all I'm saying!0

It wont be long before they realise so good luck with that one but you will come unstuck if you think for a second that you will be able to keep it, dont take the pee just organise to give it back.0

Stick it in a high interest account make some money OFF them! When they eventually realise and ask for it back I'd hang on to it as long as they took to pay you out. If its anything like my Lloyds ppi payout, offer letter 3 Aug, I'm still waiting for mine!! They may be in for a long wait, gosh I hope this happens to me so I can use their line " sorry we are not giving timescales about payment" bet they'd be !!!!ing off within 7 days! What I'm saying is, that I will not be bringing it to their attention. tell them they have to make a complaint to you in writing, then you can issue them a compalint form in 2 weeks, after they send it back you can tell them you have 8 weeks to answer them, then increase it to 16 weeks because you are 'busy' if the phone or write to you ignore them or give them different stories, finally when you agree to refund them, give them a further 8 weeks to do a calculation and then a further 4 weeks to issue a cheque
