Can anyone help please, since upgrading to gingerbread I can no longer forward text messages the option has disappeared.:(

    Yes, I have an S2 and if I press and hold it gives me the option to copy the text message. Not sure if this will be the same with yours though.

    'Forward' is one of the options in 2.2 ('messages' widget in my HTC). I think it's the same in 2.3, but may depend on the widget/app you use.

    Yes, just press and hold on the message and you will get the option to Forward it (along with Delete Message, Copy Message Text, Lock Message, Copy to SIM and View Message Details).
