hey all thanks for all the advice,

I had ordered a tommee tippee one but cancelled the order so dont have one however i am intending on using tommee tippee bottles.

As for establishing breastfeeding before introducing the bottle i am due on the 18th Decemeber and will need to be back at uni for a full day 9-4 on the 12th i think of January so that is when the bottles will need to begin. i would prefer to just breastfeed but i can only do what i can do as i have to complete my uni course.

thanks for all the great advice. Where are all the free nuby breast pumps coming from?

    Thanks everyone

    Hi Jen!!
I cant offer any advice based on experience, but we are getting the medela swing. It came top and best buy in the Which? reviews of electric pumps, and every review i have read about it was positive. There is another medela pump also a best buy, but is even more expensive, and tbh, that one seems more set up for dual expressing for twins!

Oh, and on the mixing breast and bottle thing, i have read that you should try and find a bottle where the teat nipples are as similar to your own nipples as possible- different brands have different shaped teats, some are flatter, thinner, wider etc, so guess its time to self examine and then compare! I've bought a few avent bottles, as they seem the best "fit" for mine!

  • I had the mini medela electric. It gets great reviews and comes in three parts, so very easy. It takes batteries too, so I was able to express in the car and feed baby a bottle while on the go. Not whole driving, obviously. :)

My health visitor friend recommended the Medela Swing to me and that is what we're going with. :)
