Really? eBay offer discounted postal rates?

I get this message when I sell but I cannot see any discounted postal rates being offered.

Another Feebay scam?

So ebay throw up a message that is somewhat misleading and suddenly we get 'scam' calls again and a silly use of the word feebay.

There are discounted rates on some heavy parcelforce (I think it is parcelforce) services so not exactly a scam- but i do so hate to destroy a good rant.

He's right though. It is very misleading. It doesn't say "some" rates discounted. Could easily suck the lazy in, and we know how many of those are knocking about.
  • I have checked and you are 100% correct - there appears to be a fantastic saving to be made if you use ParcelForce. I have always been a Royal Mail user up to now but have been put off selling heavier items because of the P&P costs

The RM rate for a 25kg parcel is £35.99 for Express48 delivery but I see that the eBay offer brings that down to £9.99 +VAT - a total of 11.99?

A saving of £24 - anyone actually verify this? Is this a true price? If so, I might dig out some of my heavy stock for sale...

Every time i see those prices I start to eye up the bulky items i have here- it seems a shame not to take advantage of what appears to be a very reasonably priced service . Just haven't found anything yet heavy enough that I can wrestle into a box :(

  • parcelforce are still very expensive for some parcels, even through eBay, you can get so much better rates on other websites, take a look at the cheap parcel delivery discussion or the article

Up to 30kg for 11.99 is not expensive. For those of us who l live in areas where couriers want a kidney to deliver parcelforce is the best option. Also buyers like myself avoid listings with other couriers for the same reason.

I can't be doing with couriers. My business is of the 'run itself' variety so I rarely ever stay at home all day and could never guarantee to be here for collection.

Free listing tomorrow- so what on earth do I have that is heavy that I can list?
