No idea what the top ten gifts are this year (although I've just had a look and none of them grabbed me in the slightest for my 10 or 11 year olds), but an iPod touch or Superdry clothing would be gifts of choice with a huge portion of 11 year olds around here.

We haven't decided what we'll get our 11 year old for her main present. Clothing is an option, but I'm a huge fan of experiences, so we will give that some thought too. A voucher to do something new or out of the question normally for financial reasons such as scuba diving, golf (driving range?), cinema ticket, indoor climbing, a water activities day, karate, cookery class etc.

  • My 10yr old son is after a JD Bug scooter. I think they are around £50. Or an ipod touch, i think the scooter is a little more realistic in this household ;)
  • my 12 year old is interested in an ipad2...sigh
    onwards and upwards
  • if its an outdoorsy kid then a RIPSTICK is a really popular present for this age group. its like a skateboard, but not a skateboard.

all Little_lil reminded me, the must have toy for a pre teen down here is a Slam Scooter. Every boy who goes up the park has one and they are supposedly the best for stunts? (dont ask me im only a mum). Only reason I didnt think of it was cos DS already has one :rotfl: I'll warn you now though, they are £79 for the starter one and £89 for the next one up.

According to DS, the font of all skateboarding and scootering knowledge, this is the best scooter out there :D
