I received a producer a few months ago when a woman hit our parked courtesy car but told the police we refused to exchange details!!! As it was a courtesy car didn't have a V5 or cert of insurance which the letter asked us to produce. Went to the station with driving license and copy of the "hire agreement" and said to the clerk about it. They said not to worry they'd send what I had and if they wanted anything else they'd let me know. 2 weeks later got a letter saying they'd decided to close the case.0

Why did you refuse to exchange details? :eek:The greater danger, for most of us, lies not in setting our aim too high and falling short; but in setting our aim too low and achieving our mark0 -
So what does that mean?
What it means is when the original producer is issued it is a statutory requirement to produce the documents within the 7 days. If your son goes into a police station and tells them his licence is at DVLA they cannot then extend the original 7 day period and they will have to formally caution him for failing to produce his licence. His reply to caution should be something along the lines of "My licence is currently at DVLA having additional classifications added
so I cannot produce it until they send it back to me".
When he get his licence back he won't have to then take it to the police but it would be very surprising if any further action is taken given he has a legitimate reason for not being able to produce within the 7 days."You should know not to believe everything in media & polls by now !"

If you had read the post properly you would have seen it was the other driver who told police that the poster refused to exchange details. Which is very different from saying "I refused to exchange details". Another Homer Simpson moment for Flyboy:D"You should know not to believe everything in media & polls by now !"

You are asked at what station you would like to produce at, No need to travel to your home station.
I never needed an extension to show my documents, Made a very quick statement i was waiting for it
to be returned and forgot about it, Heard nothing more.
A snooper on here emailed you? How would they get your email address?
I think you maybe a bit paranoid, What has being 5' 7" got to do with anything? I find it hard to attract their
attention, Even whilst speeding around a large island trying to attract their attention by beeping my horn.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0
