Is that 368kg's or 3.68kg? The latter would be on a courier and the cheapest have found is worldwide parcel services, they use DHL and it gets there in 3-4 days.
For 368kgs you would need a freight company because it would have to go on a pallet. See if you can find a company that ships internationally that has room on the lorry, this would be your chespest option. Try and find a freight clearing house, they do this kind of thing and will find you room on one lorry for a pallet.0 -
Or, is it 368g? If so it will be via the Post Office using 'International Signed For' which gives insurance up to £46 and you get a signature the other end and you will get a Tracking Number - however, it cannot be tracked on the Post Office website. It can sometimes be tracked in the destination country using their Postal Service website if it has that facility.
It will cost you £5.37 for a small packet via air Mail, an additional £4.95 for the Signed For service and, if it exceeds £46 in value you can pay an extra £2.50 to have it Insured to a value of £500.
Hope that helps.
ETA. I send loads of parcels to Australia and yes, it is very safe, takes around a few days. Sometimes they exceed value of £100. There are lots of ex-pats over there who cannot get the things they like - or they are very expensive in Oz so they choose to shop here. The listings in the UK have just become visible to Australian buyers so there will be more shoppers from Oz buying from eBay.
You can get a courier, I use worldwide parcel services (they are on Quidco) and mine go via DHL on a 2-4 day service, I have 3 x 10kg consignments to send over in the next week, my best customers are in Australia. WPS are the cheapest I have found to date but they are fully racked so it might be worth you pricing up on there.0 -

LOL, i was curious as to what it was that was 368kgs!!
Just ask for International Signed For at the post office.
As for making sure it got there - it's a real pain. The Post Office will tell you that it can only be tracked in the UK - once it leaves the UK the tracking ends. ISF is a huge waste of money IMO and I am not keen on using it - you can only get a signature if you request it and it can take up to 3 weeks which is ridiculous, it is not like Special Delivery or Recorded Delivery which makes me wonder why it costs so much money.
On some countries Post Office website you can enter the Tracking Number and it will trace the parcel arriving in the destination country (in the US our tracking number works on the USPS website and it is tracked). I have tried tracking a ISF Australian parcel I sent in May for you via http://auspost.com.au/track/ which is the Australian Post Office, but I think it is too old and nothing comes up, sorry.
If the customer is prepared to pay, get them to have a courier which has full tracking. On Parcel2go they have a slower service with Fed Ex for around £25.

Also standard International signed for still only covers up to £46, so livelyred make sure you are covered insurance wise when you quote for postage.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Airsure or International signed for. Could be there in 3 days with a good head wind or weeks if the moon is in its Lunar cycle according to my postie. Within 7 days is a good estimate.0
