If I went to a petrol station and purchased exactly 1 Litre of fuel at a filling station for example £133.9 per litre why should I be charge £1.34? into who's pocket does all the 0.1 pennys go to? and where does this stand legally as it is misrepresentation of the actual price.

My first thought is you need to get out more!:D Compo anyone?0 -
It goes into the pockets of those nasty fuel companies!
Doesn't this make you so mad? I mean all those 0.1ps may even add up to a couple of quid at the end of the year!!Thinking critically since 1996....0 -

You will in fact get slightly over one litre... 0.1p's worth over, to be exact.0 -
Ok, I see what sort of people I am dealing with here. As my post states "Your thought's on this query", this means NCIROCKS that yes I do need to get out more, but seeing as I am having a lunch break and this is one question we were debating I though "I will ask the NICE people on here" mmmmm.
Somethingcorporate:- think your calculations are a little bit out :-)0 -

It is a query, not praise and neither am I venting or warning so, in my opinion it has been posted correctly0 -
The pumps are designed to register in whole pennies. You're not purchasing one litre, you're purchasing whatever £1.34 represents. Having said that you couldn't purchase a litre anyway, as most are 2 litres minimum delivery"Growth for growth's sake is the ideology of the cancer cell" - Edward Abbey.0

Quantify it then? 1,000 cars a week, 0.1p per car. £1 a week, £52 a year. Hardly robbery on a grand scale!
I don't run a petrol station so the 1,000 cars a week may be far too high / low.
Probably lose more a year in pennies lost down the back of the till drawer!Thinking critically since 1996....0
