ASDA MOBILE. 100 Texts and 100 Mins for £5.00.
Hi All,
Did a search and couldn't find anything about this so here I am!
New and existing customers can get a half price EVERYDAY bundle deal at the moment. You get 100 texts and 100 mins for £5. Text the word EVERYDAY to 2732 from your ASDA mobile to activate.
BUT the bundle only lasts for 30 days so be careful if you are a low user. You have to have at least a fiver on your credit as it takes it when you activate. Texts normally 6p and calls 10p a min so could be worth up to £16 if you use the lot.
Strangely though, it is VERY hard to find information about this anywhere other than a flashing banner on the ASDA Mobile homepage which doesn't link to anything. I only found out because the customer service advisor who sold me my credit mentioned it to me and she only knew about it because a customer came in asking for some info. The store had to ring up for info!!
Hope this helps someone,
Ian
p.s. I've also posted this in the Grabbit section.

yes I do the textsaver it is £5 for 200 texts in a month (usually 6p each) so 2.5p each
details on the home page of Asdamobile http://www.asdamobile.com/help/about_us.html
i think 100 texts 100 mins is £10
others available on the website0 -

How about http://www.asdamobile.com/compare_tariffs.html then ?0 -
You are spot on Ian. There is no information about the £5 Everyday (100 text and 100 mins phone) deal ... just the flashing banner than doesn't connect to anything. Clicking on the links posted just show Everyday with the same 100 text and minutes costs £10.

Well I've just put £5 on my phone and text Everyday to the number and its come back ok.
That's a deal!!!!!!!!!!0 -
As Di* says, that just takes you to the usual charges. The current offer is half price, £5 instead of £10, but there is no information about it anywhere on the Asda Mobile website apart from the banner. It's almost like they don't want anyone to take it up.How about http://www.asdamobile.com/compare_tariffs.html then ?

Don't forget to pick up some credit with your shopping this weekend. This is a good deal if you are likely to use the mins and texts within the 30 days.

It doesn't seem a brilliant offer when for £5 Giffgaff offer 60 minutes (plus an extra one for every one someone calls you), 300 texts, free giffgaff-to-giffgaff calls and texts: http://giffgaff.com/0

Yes, that does look good. Never heard of GiffGaff before.MarkBargain wrote: »It doesn't seem a brilliant offer when for £5 Giffgaff offer 60 minutes (plus an extra one for every one someone calls you), 300 texts, free giffgaff-to-giffgaff calls and texts: http://giffgaff.com/
However, if you are already on Asda Mobile the current offer is a very good one. It provides way over what I will need so not worth changing to GG for me personally but worth a look for others. A fiver credit normally lasts me at least a month or more, lol, I get upset if I spend more!
When something seems a bit too cheap though, like GiffGaff, I am always cautious. A few years back Easy Mobile were doing some absolutely amazing deals, my mobile cost me practically nothing to run for about a year. But it was unsustainable and I don't think the service even lasted two years before it went down. You then have all the hassle of finding a new provider and changing your number over.0
