Just back from American gangster- bit baffled by first 15 mins, but all became clear at the end. Excellent film- just looking for Beowulf tickets now if it ever gets to Dundee!

I went to see it last night, was very impressed, hadn't realised it was 2 hours 30 mins long, good value for money, well, would be if I'd paid

I saw it last night, and yet again the Greenwich Odeon was only half full. How on earth can this happen after we all battled so hard to get tix? Lovely crowd though and everyone seemed to have eaten up all their smelly or crunchy food already during the long wait (film started half an hour late). Film's quite long and I had to look away in some scenes as they were a teensy bit violent. Wouldn't want to watch it a second time although Denzel Washington was really good.

Acutally it's 2 hours 36 minutes and 53 seconds long. So stockup with the grub and go to the loo before you go and watch it.

I wonder if some of you MSE'ers who go and see Beowulf, could tell me if you saw the 3D version of this film and was it any good?

Hi Robin. I saw Beowulf in 3D Monday night, and yes, it was pretty impressive, certainly made the film a lot more enjoyable than it would've been!!

Just tried the August Rush code 496427 from Hackeroonie and got some tickets, third day of trying. All those posts that say keep trying each morning are right.
