Yes, me too...the theatre was only half full. Perhaps Seefilm should think about issuing 130% of tickets? Because a lot of folks just don't show up!
Can't understand 'em, myself... I love movies! And 'The Kingdom' was an awful lot better than I expected! The trailer made it sound like just another gung-ho action movie full of American patriotism - but it confounded that expectation.
Yes, it had huge action shots (I am still wondering where they found the half-destroyed building block, no way was that a film set! Or CGI...) and the ending was incredibly tense - but it was also thoughtful about the cultural gap between East and West, and well acted.
And I loved the plot development involving Jennifer Garner! Hooray, I've been waiting for ever to see an action movie where the token girl doesn't just scream and get pushed out of the way when the action starts!
If you weren't lucky enough to get a ticket, I would still recommend this movie as worth spending your £7 on. Every bit as good at the Bourne Ultimatum, a superb action thriller.
Thanks, Seefilm! :T0 -

I saw The Kingdom this morning at Trafford Centre, Manchester and like some of the other screenings loads of seats spare, this was only about 25% full, what a waste. A great film.0
