  • Just went to a free film viewing for the first time. I was pleasantly surprised with how easy it was. It was a really full screening and the film itself, 3:10 to Yuma was brilliant. Russell Crowe is hot ... and the story, effects and ending were excellent.

One of the best films I've seen this year.
  • Which cinema did you guys go to?

I was in Manchester Printworks for the 6:30 showing for 3:10 to Yuma

Just seen Yuma tonight too, with my dad. Really enjoyed it. We went to the Stoke Odeon.

Also, can someone tell me how to get email alerts when someone posts on the free cinema tickets thread, please. I always miss everything.

    Hello,
I have a spare ticket of Run Fatboy Run, at Vue Watford on the 6th. The ticket admits one, and I am happy to give it to anyone who PMs me, rather than wasting a seat.

I have to agree that you folks who didn't like Superbad because it was "disgusting" and "too rude" should really do your research before you sign up for tickets. I don't know where anyone would get the idea that it is a suitable film to take their elderly mother to. But hey, we can all have our opinions! If I signed up to tickets for Atonement, I'm sure I'd be complaining it was too boring and girly and dreary.

In my opinion, Superbad is the funniest film since The 40 Year Old Virgin. I've been to three screenings so far, and it's still so funny. My favourite scene is the singing bit. The blood bit has also received a great reaction at all three of the screenings I went to. I met the three main cast members on Monday night in London and chatted to them a bit, and they are tremendously polite, nice guys... If a little shy.

To anyone considering Superbad - if the kind of "comedy" you normally go for stars people like Hugh Grant and Renee Zellweger, this won't be your thing. But if you don't mind young people talking like young people do, mixed with some hilariously absurd situations, then you should see this film. It's not just vulgar humour, either - there's a solid emotional core built on the desperation and fear of two lifelong friends about to part ways as they go to different colleges. The performances are all spot-on, there isn't a boring moment in it, and the 70s soul soundtrack somehow fits perfectly . It really is superb.

hi, well saw 3.10 from yuma yesterday, thought it was great and far better than the 2 hrs of my life I wasted on 'Atonement' (yes i did watch the trailers) thought it was all over the place!! Now superbad I'm getting worried about, watched the trailers and it does appeal to my warped sense of humour, but concerned that there are so many negative reactions to it.

    AMEN!

    Thank god you agree!

The other dude/dudette who said NEGATIVE REACTIONS about the movie - the movie has been rated 8.5 out of 10 by over 25,000 people in the US on a reputable, if not the best movie website.

I would check out a couple of trailers - there's a theatrical, teaser and a longer theatrical but none give the flick away

If if doesnt tickle your fancy - you will NOT enjoy it.

Your best bet would be to give them up to someone who will.
