i've been signed up for nearly 18months and have only manged to get free tickets thanks to this site.

To add my thoughts on the 'discussion' from the codes only thread.....

1) I have been registered with seefilmfirst etc for over a year and NEVER received any codes directly from them.
2) I have bought mags/newspapers etc which clearly advertise "Free viewing for every reader.." only to find all the tickets gone when I do try to get one
3) I have been to dozens to free previews - courtesy of the codes been posted on MSE, and only once was the screening full. Most of the time it is embarrasingly empty - my record being only 5 of us there in total !! I dread to think how 'empty' these screenings would be if MSErs didn't have 'unfair' access to these codes
4) I work, and have children, so there is no way I could be described as "sitting on the computer all day" - and with my on-going problems with Talktalk, sometimes I am without the internet for weeks at a time :eek:
5) As many posters have already noted, these tickets seem to be released in batches, so rather than ALL the tickets being allocated in the first half hour, your success rate at getting tickets often depends on your perseverance.
6) IMO, the chance of you ever getting tickets depends largely on where you live, or where you are prepared to travel to. I am not in London, and some screening seem to be in London only, or in maybe just a handfull of cities. Also, not all cities have Odeon, Vue and Cineworld, so all viewings are not available to all msers.

Sometimes I have gone months without any preview tickets - either because all the tickets have gone by the time I try, or because there are no suitable films being shown at my cinemas. Other times I can have 2 screenings a week to look forward to.

I do not think I am selfish or greedy, as I have pass on the details of MSE to all family and friends, and given them idiots guides to how to check for free tickets etc. I have even got tickets myself, and then given them to friends and colleagues if I was unable to go myself, or the film not suitable.

My final comment is to thank all those kind and considerate msers who DO post the codes, because without them I wouldn't have been able to take my kids to dozens of films over the last 18 months, and of course, it has saved me a fortune.:dance: :T

sorry that this is my first post and i am already asking something, but i just stumbled upon this sites forum and was wondering if anyones got a code for Evan Almighty as I find the actor very funny.

I removed my original post because it was the wrong thread. I do see that it has created quite a discussion so wasn't a total waste of space or time.
I didn't realize that a lot of you weren't getting any offers of tickets so point taken.
I will remove this post soon if a moderator doesn't do so before.

Yesleck, same here, I have been signed up to all the movie clubs/screening clubs that exsist for almost 2 years and have never been sent a screening code from them.
This thread is the only one that lets me get the occassional tickets whci I am well pleased with.
