Guys ever stopped to think, if you're being granted less than your costs, it's for the sheer reason you're not eligible for the full amount?

I put my application in about june and it was done in about 10 days I think. I've just had to send another ccg 1 form of though because I changed child care provider and the cost are more hope it doesn't take to long but I suppose I cant complain because I've had my first lot of child care grant paid last week.

I think it's only vroom broom who has had a low quote - mine was fine last academic year when they actually sorted it out its just the length of time I had to wait really affected my finances and I can't afford to go through that again, but SFE cant tell me a reasonably close date as to when they will pay - thats why I was hoping one of the people who work for SFE would be able to help.

Taiko, if they could give me the exact breakdown of how they came to £313 I would let it rest. Its the fact no one, including two managers, cannot work out this figure and give me a reasonable explanation. They all promise to look into it for me, but 13 phonecalls later its still not resolved.

Post it up, I'll do the calculations.

I want childcare costs, tax credits, child benefit amounts, number of children in childcare, partners net income, full breakdown of outgoings.
  • Taiko, how are you? Please can you help me. My wife is in her final year at Uni ( started on the 19th of Sep) and we had a baby in Feb 2011. She received a student loan and maintenace grant and now we have applied for the student grant. It is taking them quite long to get back to us, they wrote back to ask us to apply for 2 other grants as well and they will assess all 3 together.

Could you do a calculation and tell me approx. how much we are eligible for so I can forecast and budget appropriately?

Thank you in advance, please let me know what details you require.

    Cheers
