  • hi i paid for a extra 5 kilos didnt think its worth the risk of going over , i went away for 10 days , if ur just going for a week would prob be ok

  • Get some from poundland. I've had mine for 3 years and they've been spot on each time.
  • I have the same problem for next year, what i am going to do is cut down on toiletries which add alot of weight. Take the little travel size shampoo and conditioners and also just take half a bottle of shower gel instead of a full one

Also don't forget you have 5kg allowance for hand luggage so if you are a little over coming back just put some in your bag

Yes it is, but it all depends on how much you pack into that case. As soon as you add liquids and heavy items (my laptop charger being a prime offender) it can weigh a lot more, so I struggle with just 15st for a week's packing. Don't forget that anything you buy out there will be additional weight on the way back.

    Typo, me thinks. :rotfl:

I think 15kg is a miserable allowance btw. A friend flies business class regularly and is allowed to take 2 x 23kg items.

I think there's probably a world of difference between what the OP is paying for a flight with Thomas Cook and what your friend pays to fly Business Class.

I did a 28 day tour of China with temperatures differing between 27C in Shanghai and -4 at night in Chengde and managed on 20kgs.

Hi Guys what we always do now is buy all our Toiletries in the departure lounge from Boots ,it does not count against your 15kgs on Thomas cook but be careful with Ryanair because it will be an additional package !!
