I'm flying with Thomson in a few weeks and currently on crutches.
Can these be taken on board? Where do they get stored and should I let them know in advance?

Yes, you can take crutches with you onboard the aircraft. They should fit into the overhead locker, depending on the aircraft type. Just ask the crew when you board where the best place to stow them. You don't have to tell the airline that you're on crutches, although you may want to order wheelchair assistance, as airports can be big with long walks - not easy on crutches.
Oh, and you can't sit by an emergency exit, such as an overwing exit when you're using crutches, as you have to be fully fit to sit there.0 -
