Does anyone know if they accept printed bank statements? I've actually applied for an account before where they didn't accept my branch-printed statement but did accept my printed online statement!
They accepted the original bank statement I sent them, it it usually the online statement you print yourself that they will not accept.0 -
So for those who have already opened an account on time - what rate will they now be getting?

3.25% gross variable - the headline in that article could be misread but just means that for those who are now looking to open an instant access account, the best available rate is 0.13% lower than it was when the Derbyshire account was still an open issue.0

I was told by Derbyshire on the phone yesterday if they receive my application form with my opening deposit by 12th October, they will honour the 3.25% rate.

suggests it was withdrawn today but it was withdrawn yesterday from their internet site.
However if the link in post #38 put up by Jazzy_B is still working it may still be available to open providing they receive app form and cheque by 12th October.Never let the perfume of the premium overpower the odour of the risk0 -
I posted my application for this account last Thursday (29th Sept) and my opening cheque cleared my current account yesterday (5th Oct), but I am still awaiting my confirmation letter. I presume they are just overloaded with applications
, but glad I opened one

My understanding is that the account was withdrawn because users were overloading their systems ... I have been on the phone to them quite a lot over the last week trying to get some money out. On-line withdrawal (previously fine) failed to be actioned twice last week, and their systems people were telling the customer service people (who are excellent) until Tuesday that the BACS payments had gone through. Well they hadn't, so yesterday they admitted this and I was promised that the money I had tried to withdraw last week would be sent by CHAPS (same day) at no extra charge. That didn't work either - yet another call this morning informed me that their network had crashed yesterday so they'd not been able to send it, but it would definitely be sent today. I was losing hope until it eventually turned up in my account after 4 p.m. today. Makes me a bit nervous about entrusting large amounts to them in an account that as far as I'm aware will continue to pay the 3.25% until November 2012 for current holders. It receives Faster Payments but sends by steam-driven BACS (when it works...) until January, of course, when the new rules require the implementation of one-day transfers.0

Has anyone who used the link in Jazzy_B's post no. 38 to apply had their account validated and is up and running yet? I'm just asking since I used the link to help each of my parents apply for an account and we sent the forms and cheques off ages ago and haven't heard anything yet?0
