I would say its more suited to a 6 year old than a 3 year old - those beads would end up everywhere if a 3 year old plays with it!

I think the guide means don't give it to a child under 3

She'll love it. My niece absolutely loves things like that.
  • my dd got that given to her as a present from one of her friends when she turned 5 this year. she loves it, but no way would she have coped with it at 3! it just says that as the parts are easily swallowed so it means not to give it to a child younger than 3 and with this toy I would agree with it and keep it out of my toddlers reach!

at 6 thats a lovely present, and prob popular with the parents as the little girl can play with it by herself :)

My 8 year old would love that. Loves making beaded bracelets.

It was the 3+ bit that threw me, l wouldn't have let my son play with it at that age. I've been umming and ahhing all night but l knew this forum would help. :D

She'll love it. Old enough not to eat it, but still young enough to enjoy it and get creative! My 11-yr-old DSD would love it still- she's constantly entertaining dreams of being a designer, jewellery maker, fashionistica (doesn't get any of this from me- I'm usually under a car bonnet somewhere!). It's fascinating to watch her spin out stories though.
