Webmail?

Is this reliable or is down to your ISP?
I read some people have had bad experiences with Tesco webmail.
I am with plusnet and want to use their webmail rather than stick with BT.

• Why not use something tried and tested?

I use Gmail, have done since the Beta, and can't fault it.

Thanks for that, ignorance is not bliss in my case, it is a bloody incumberance.
Can I use my Plusnet e mail address with Gmail or do I have to create one?

• You need to set up a new Gmail account, but you can add your Plusnet POP3 email account to Gmail, and Gmail will retrieve all your email.

Alternatively set up an Alias or Redirect from your Plusnet email account to your new Gmail account.

• Would personally never use an ISP's email address, its a very simple way that they create lock-in.... they can inch the prices up because its too much of a pain for you to have to update your email address with all your friends, family, forums, facebook etc

Thank you, all done. How do you save e mails in gmail?:T
You live..You learn.:)
• Just click the star, then tick the box and hit archive.
• Gmail, in my opnion is by far the best and most reliable form of webmail. I used to use Hotmail, but my account got hacked and started spamming all my contacts. Go with Gmail, it's free and they have tonnes of space!!
• I use mail.com been using them for years, very reliable and you get a choice of addresses

best way so that you never loose email if you change isp....buy a .co.uk domain and open gmail a/c , then redirect your isp email to your domain , then redirect to gmail , sound complicated but very easy at under £8 for 2 years then renew.
examp. smith@bt.com...smith@[domai...say abc1.co.uk]...to smithabc@gmail.com...all done just lookup email on google...have done it for years with a 4letter .co.uk , saves a lot of typing , plus at 123reg you can have many email address redirected to gmail... mail@..postbox@....ect.
