Notjustlaura - thank goodness you've had good news about your mother; you must be so relieved.
RosyRed- congratulations on the birth of your new grandchild. There's not much that beats becoming a grandparent, is there?
Well, I should be getting ready to go shopping (we're an hour ahead here) but I'm still sat with my coffee, and I need to dry my hair, and now that the kitchen and bathroom mats are in the WM, I want to wash the floors before I go, so I doubt I'll be out much before 10 o'clock. Must get a wiggle on.

I AM SO HAPPY. I HAVE A KENWOOD CHEF!!! Well it's not in my grubby paws yet, but i've seen it! It's my grans old one, and she's got nearly every attachment going for it! (which pleased OH, he wants to make his own mince) I'm going to pick it up tonight, and can't wait to get baking!
I also got a bin liner of clothes my mum doesn't want anymore, all of it is dorothy perkins/next/new look stuff, so pleased with that, as won't need to get anything well into next year.
So RESULT of a day last night.
We celebrated with a burger from the van....OH didn't finish till late, and we had a cheeky pint in the pub.
So need make something with the chicken tonight. WM is on cycle one, hopefully will get another one in when i come home from lunch. Then sort the kitchen, and bathroom tonight.

Thank you. We were concerned that it'd spread to her skin (has already spread into her bones but is stable at the moment) but the Dr says the suspicious moles are just normal moles and nothing to worry about.
Today's swish 'n' swipe of the house is done and I'm boiling eggs for breakfast

Morning all, last night I was supposed to have a really nice long sleep and be refreshed this morning but no! I suddenly got a bladder infection at 8pm and was throwing up at mdinight. After gallons of water, various home remedies and very little sleep I think it's gone and I shall be tackling uni and work as normal today- minus life giving coffee
My shelves are here but I probably won't put them up tonight, the mess can stay for one more day

The car has got to go and be serviced so will have a potter round town whilst waiting for it to be done, need to nip to primark to pick up a all in one fleecy sleepsuit for DS might also nip into the £1 shop to see if they have any items that can go into my winter stash.

Morning everyone - you really do all brighten my day!
I had a great nights sleep and feel really energised today. I have sorted the washing and hung it up, brought lunch from home to save money.
I was going to pop into town at lunch to get some skin care from boots but I have checked my bank and there is some money there but I need petrol so better wait for a payment that is due next week before getting the skin care (I still have some to use anyway).
So, I might pop into town anyway and have a look around - its nice to get away from your desk! I may also have a look in the charity shop whilst I am there. I also need to post a card.
This evening I plan to do some ironing and then go to my slimming world club which I really enjoy - its a nice hour of me-time!
I wondered if anyone had any suggestions of where I could get a nice household planner? I would like to get one for a relative for Christmas but Im not sure where to look or what to look for.
Also, Im not sure if this is the place to ask, but Im looking for a nice simple recipe for fruitcake - does anyone know where I can find this? I would like to make one for my family at the weekend.
Thanks in advance for any help you can give and have a great day everyone!0 -
Morning everyone.

DS in tears about going to school this morning. Started at home, then I gave him a kiss outside class and he started again.
Off to an Autism meeting tonight as Cerebra are doing a talk about sleep.
Sunny here, bit of washing to do. Have a friend coming for coffee about half ten. So need to clean the kitchen, dust lounge and get some admin done. I WILL NOT keep telling myself I don't have enough time.......I have OODLES of time
Notjustlaura - glad it's some positive news about your mum and don't worry about moaning. We're all here to support and listen xx

Good Morning everyone and what a glorious day it is here in Kent .Can't believe its getting to the end of September its just so blooming hot.My pessimistic elder daughter says 'we will pay for it no doubt come the winter.'Probably but I am more of the lets enjoy it whilst we can sort of person.
Had some sad news last night my late husbands brother passed away from bowlel cancer so there's a funeral to go to sometime next week.I seem to go to more of those than anything else.He was given a year in July but deterioated very quickly .At least he is no longer in pain poor guy.I shall pop and get a card for his wife later on when I go to the lymphodema clinic.
No school run this morning as my DD has a day off so I'm pottering around today catching up with bits and pieces indoors.I have some baking to do this afternoon .I made one and a half litres of leek and potato soup yesterday from stuff I had indoors I found a big bag of leeks in the freezer and I had been and bought a big one on Monday as well still it will come in useful. As its warm I think I may have some tuna salad for lunch as I have a fair bit of salady bits in the fridge.I must cut the cauliflower up as well and get it in the freezer for later on.Its a nice one and only cost 50p which is a bargain.
Congratulations on the birth of a new granddaughter Rosyred they are wonderful creatures and capture ones heart like nothing else. You will become enslaved to that little person in the blink of an eye .My youngest DGD started at Uni yesterday and god knows where the time has flown to It only seems like yesterday I was picking her up from playschool.Eldest DGD Katie is working and engaged to a nice lad called Tom,she still won't let me get rid of her dolls cot that her Granddad made for her though Its at the back of the cupboard under the stairs,no doubt later on when her and tom marry and settle down if she has a girl it will be hauled out for her to play with.Children grow up so quickly and in the merest blink of an eye they are huge and adult and gone.I make the most of my wee tribe the four yougest boys are growing like weeds but we still enjoy each others company .I watch Dannys new show that he is working on on Friday night 'Eight out of Ten Cats' and sure enough at the end he's got his own credit as production runner He is enjoying his job and is looking to stepping up to researcher by Christmas.I shall soon have to sort out his birthday as he is 21 on 14 November.
Well enough chit-chat, time to get the coffee on and sort out whats to be done today I have a clinic appointment at 12.00 so what ever I do has to be worked out on either side of that
Hope everyone has a smashing day and if you have some sunshine enjoy it
Cheers JackieO xx0 -
Coooooeeeeeeee,
It's been rather a bleak & miserable day here today. Tomorrow is forecast for storms. Did the floors out this morning and then went and mowed. Caught up with the ironing after that. Then after lunch rang DH's aunty and talked for 2.5 hours.
My god can she talk.
Had spag bolg for tea. Followed by an ice block.
It's school holidays here at the moment and DGS was with his mother the first week and been with his father this week. He goes back to school Monday. He'll be mad as a cut snake the first few days he's back for sure. I expect I'll have to have a few extra  at night next week.
While he's been away I've sorted out my recipe folder, which has taken a few hours of typing each day. :A Won't let it get that bad again. I say that every time but it seems to build up.
Rosyred Congratulations on the birth of your grand daughter.
bramble My mum bought me a Kenwood Chef for our wedding. It gave up the ghost about 5 years ago and I finally bought another mix master this year. Not a Kenwood Chef sadly. This one I bought is not a patch on the Kenwood. Lucky you. I had a few attachments too.
Well I shall head off. Off to play Bingo on FB.
Hope you all enjoy your day. Byeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee Don't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia.
