Quidco Virgin Media £150 cash back even on broadband only?

Hi, I've been looking at broadband only packages lately and am therefore examining the offers available from Virgin.

Quidco and Recommend a friend interest me but i'm wondering if i can get the £150 cash back on broadband only and not a bundle? The free installation offered by recommend a friend is quite appealing.

The Quidco website in unclear (won't let me link). It says £150 if you sign up to any virign media product but doesn't specify broadband only and i fear it won't be for broadband only.

If anyone has any experience or can offer any guidance it would be much appreciated!

Many Thanks, Charlie.

  • Both mom and a work colleague signed up for broadband only back in 2009, they both received the £150 cashback through quidco.

Deals vary all the time. When you signup through a cashback site you get all the same offers that you get signing up direct on the website unless it is some special deal through a site like SimplifyDigital.

If you take phone + broadband then most cashbacks treat that as a bundle and it will only cost ~ £3 a month more than plain BB on most speeds. It will qualify you for free or half price months and a free install but you may still get stiffed £30-40 for the mysterious "activation charge" which I think covers the hardware you get.

My advice - forget "introduce a friend" as it pays out much less than cashbacks. Check Quidco, TopCashBack, and SimplifyDigital to find the best deal you can for BB + phone then cancel the phone after a year. That's what I did and at the time SimplifyDigital were the best option but those deals change all thetime.
