Best Way to Sell a SIM card?

I went into t-mobile to get a couple prepaid sim cards for my friends who are traveling to uk to visit, and I got bored and decided to activate all of them and put 10pounds on each.

one of them has the number:

079* 0000 *01

* stands for a random number.

what's the best way to go about making some profit from this number?

thanks for that it seems it's legal.

but anyone got any suggestions on where to sell it other than ebay? cause they charge ridiculous fees; i mean i could always just stand outside t-mobile or some mobile store, and ask strangers: "hey man, u wanna buy my numba? " hahaha

but that won't be the most efficient and prob not legal haha

try ebay, though not sure how much you would get for it.

The time of selling 'gold numbers' is well over. I used to do it on ebay, but the prices just got lower and lower (and these are 0777AAA7770 where AAA are all the same or things like 101, 202 etc).
You might get 10 to 20 quid for yours if you wait long enough, but hardly worth it. . .

If the * near the end isn't 0 or 1 then it's probably worth about 50p.

Agreed - I was looking at this just last week, and some really good numbers, even including the network code, were going for around £15, the combination you describe would be of limited value. Like the DVLA, the really good numbers seldom get distributed by accident.
