I wouldn't waste money on these things.

First off, if you have lever taps you only need knock em with your arm to turn them on with messy hands so if you are thinking about changing taps/new kitchen I'd suggest considering them.

Secondly, soap works better than anti-bacterial handwash at keeping hands clean and is cheaper.

I am quite happy to use an ordinary bar of soap to wash my hands This obsession with these gadgets is getting silly We will all be walking round cocooned in plastic at this rate .Free or not its a waste of resourses and just fills you cupboards up with more unessesary junk

I actually like this particular "gadget", they can easily be refilled with cheaper soap and because you get a measured dose, they seem to last for ages.
I wouldn't gave paid £10 for one, but bought 2 at £2 using £3 coupons and 2 at £1.50 using £3 coupons and several free ones using the £5 coupons.
I agree ALL gadgets are NOT necessary and some are a waste of money, God knows how much stuff I've bought in the past that is just an "ornament" (Grabbit forum to blame!!!).

There are offers also, probably what Edwardia is aiming at, where they give you the item cheap in the hope that you buy the expensive refill etc., or like those razors, expensive blades in that case!!!

But I like the Dettol hand-wash machines and use them every day.

  • i think dettol realise that people only buy these where there about 1.50 coz there half price and theres a coupon or free as was recently. £10 is a lot of money.
