  • To refill them, just use the syringes that come with any inkjet refill kits. I have got a kit for my printer and I just use the syringe to refill the Dettol hand washer cartridge without any probs.
  • My search is over...got last one on shelf at Asda Dunfermline..took voucher no problem :)
  • I saw them in Poundstretcher today for £2.99. I didn't try a voucher as I didn't have mine with me, but I asked them if they took printed vouchers for Dettol products and they said yes. So if they are true to their word it would be free or -1p! :j

They are also on offer for 2 for £5.
So so SO tired of being ripped off, and mislead
    Hope sharing saves some pain.
  • You don't need a syringe.

Boil kettle, pur into deep bowl and then insert the empty soap container in lid first. Leave for a minute or so and then remove. Insert a butter knife under the lid and gently prize the lid off, a little bit on each side at a time and off it pops. Refill with whatever you want and then put the lid back on. Is good for a good five or six refills then bin it and put a new one in.

The Aloe refills are £1.50 in Tesco at the moment!
  • These have always baffled me...
It is a hand wash so why does no-one want to touch the top before washing their hands? It doesn't make sense, anything you pick up from the top will be washed off with the hand wash

Just another way to make money i suppose. Why can't i think of a useless product that sells so well? I could be rich too. LOL.

    Just an observation. :D

Have you ever pressed on a soap bottle too hard, so you hand slips? It hurts, you can even take skin off! Then you get a soapy stingy cut. It's also good for when my hands are RSI'ed up and swollen, don't want to press on anything when they are like that. It annoys me when the pump breaks and you have to unscrew the bottle to get the soap out.

It's also soooooo lazy you can wash you hands on auto pilot almost without looking. Some might say that's a bad thing, I don't.

At £1.50 it was cheaper than buying a manual soap pump that looked nice to go in the bathroom to disguise cheap liquid soap, if you can now get it for free from Poundstrecher even, then why not? Those are my reasons :D

I wouldn't buy it just for the soap that comes in it though, smells rank like vegetable flavored boiled sweets. Blegh.

  • Good point. I had tennis elbow once and it hurt like hell to put even the slightest pressure on my hand as the pain went right up my forearm from my elbow to my wrist. Ouch. Had an operation in the end.

I love the cucumber scented hand gel from Tesco, smells heavenly. I use it often as i wash my hands a lot working in the care industry.
    Thanks for your reply.

I thought this too, then I found a use, for after i've been handling chicken! Most things don't worry me too much, but i'm very careful with chicken and dont want to spread anything nasty.

Otherwise I agree with you :p
  • Not just Chicken, any raw meats. It's handy to be able to start the tap with my elbow (lift mechanism) and put hands under the Dettol Soap Dispenser and then wash right away. Otherwise it's spread the raw meat germs/bacteria to the soap dispenser lid.
