android phone stuck on searching for gps in google navigator
I have a samsung galaxy s and use google map navigation often. Been working fine up to 5 months ago.
Now when I put in a location is works out where to go but the hangs on "searching for gps"
Updated the google maps to latest but still no joy...any advice very welcome!

Note sure and its too simple - but is the GPS setting turned ON?0

Partner's Galaxy SII suffers similar problems. I loaded an app that kills active apps and clears their cache. That helped a bit, but it still isn't as good as my Apollo or Optimus One.0

Was a notorious problem for the Galaxy S.
Try downloading a free GPS app from the market place to see if you can get a lock. That'll at least tell you if the hardware is working. If so then try a factory reset, clearing the cache, downloading one of the fixes out there. Lots of people have your problem.
Put me right of getting an S2.0
