sorry for all the threads today, my iphone screen broke and last time it cost £40 to replace. Does anywhere know any cheap places that can replace it . Btw I bought this phone on contract before my lightbulb moment and its contract just ended, I have just filled it with all my cds and really dont want to lose it. Any advice greatly appreciated :money:

Take a look on ebay - they will have something for half the price.
Think its not too hard to replace - what ever you buy on ebay should have the instructions / tools needed as a package.0 -
No idea, but I will be watching this as I have managed to break mine!0

As this isn't related to Old Style, I've moved your thread over to the Mobile Phones board to see if you can some help there.

sorry for posting in the wrong area, thanks for moving it. ive had a look on ebay but im scared i break it trying to fix it myself, anyone successfully gave this a go ?0

£40 is pretty much as cheap as it gets for a screen replacement. Apple charge £146 though in that case you will walk out with a new (well refurbished) phone. If you aren't sure what you are doing I'd at the very least pay the £40 to get it done0

if u know slightly what you are doing, u can manage it and do it by buying a replacement screen. my friend and i bought one off ebay and put it on his broken screen0

Be really careful, it is not easy as some suggest. I cracked my iphone screen, and bought a kit of ebay for about a tenner. I'm pretty technically savvy, but managed to mess it up in exactly the same way as numerous others - when you take the old screen off, one of the ribbons connecting it to the phone is very easy to rip from the circuit board by accident, which damages it so that you cannot plug it back in. Now I have an iphone with a lovely screen, but the mic doesn't work and so it can do everything except make and receive phone calls!0

Pay the 40 to get it fixed by an insured fixer!0
