Important Warning Regarding The MSE Forum Team

Hi Folks
As many of you will now have seen, our Forum Team now have their image in the top right of the forum and are named as individuals
Just thought I'd take this opportunity to state that its important you understand they are employees of MoneySavingExpert.com. And like all employers (think of the signs on buses) the site has a duty of care to protect them in their work roles.
Therefore to ensure this happens there will be a zero tolerance policy on any personal abuse aimed in their direction.
My hope is that by encouraging communication and trying to explain who to contact, reminding people that there are real, professional individuals working hard to keep this forum running - it will help decrease problems - yet at the same time I felt it important to make a statement so people take care in how they deal with the team..
For the vast majority of users I know this is a nothing issue as they'd never dream of being rude to the team anyway.
I hope you understand why Im saying this

i have total respect for the mse team and the board guides,i do however think its inviting problems by putting their photos on site,it will achieve little and has the potential to cause problems, not one of mse`s best decisions0

But on the flip side there are far too many nutters who hold grudges and may feel that the forum team have been very unfair to them and seek to cause problems for them. There also seems to be a little too much info about the team.I made a mistake once, believeing people on the internet were my virtual friends. It won't be a mistake that I make again!0 -

So no comments like ...
"Any rumours that working on the Forum Team is stressful enough to make your hair fall out are hotly denied!"
Using a thread title of "The glam Meet the MSE Forum Team picture" also wasn't the best idea ...0 -
Funny you dont have that sameTherefore to ensure this happens there will be a zero tolerance policy on any personal abuse aimed in their direction.

I think you will find he does, its all there in the forum rules. Forum etiquette is not too difficult to master, but for those struggling to comprehend it, the team have gone to the trouble of clarification.:A:dance:1+1+1=1:dance::A

its our responsibility to report or inform board guides and forum helpers, not moderators of trollsome, abusive or aggressive posts on the forum, which having my own experience of vb software and boards can understand and co operate with but when you report and report and report and then on some circumstances and recommendation actually pm board guides which you can see are online the details of said spammage or abuse, they then go offline, the ones you actually see online ever, you kind of lose interest in trying to help them
and from what ive been told, you are paying these people martin, are they taking the mickey because i can do it for free when im not at work kthanks x0 -
Martin is potentially risking an Employment Tribunal because the part time members of the team presumably are not important enough to have their photos on the site along with the full timers. The said part time workers are being treated in detriment compared to the full time workers which is Not Allowed.
On the other hand, the full timers could argue that they are being treated in detriment to part time workers as they are forced to have their mugshots on display to every Tom !!!!!!, Harry and halfwit who frequents the interwebz. But it is not unlawful to discriminate against full time workers.
Minus 10 points MSE for making us have to think about these things...take the photo down; the picture is terrible, the smiles are fake, the uniform awful and unflattering, you are doing them no favours and making them look like your Enforcers. Poor souls.0 -
