Not to put a dampener on this thread but I have heard of others who have been thrown off Clubcard for large points balances. Some of them on here are admirable but shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh ;):D Big brother is watching!!!

I have just read this thread from the top and this was something that was worrying me........

Having 'discovered' vouchers 3 or 4 months ago I have bought trolley loads to kit out my new house. Dishcloth (microfibre of course:rotfl: ) to Dyson, (yes really) and have saved well over 60% by using vouchers. There is also enough shower gel and handwash to float a battle ship hiding away somewhere.

However, as I have often returned items if a SA has not accepted 'enough' vouchers, I have made it a personal policy not to use my CC.

If I have till spits or extra point coupons, I'll split the shopping to make a separate transaction to use the CC with. When the next lot goes through, I just say, 'oh that's all for my neighbour and she wants the points on her card later'.

Best for the CC account to look normal.... IMHO... have only got approx 3000 points so far this quarter but have gained on 'voucher discount' enormously. For a singleton this is still very useful though.

Looks like you cottoned on fast. When I use shed loads of coupons it is cash only with me. If I use a couple I use my clubcard. I don't use both. They have full records of all we have bought and how many coupons used.

The reason people use multiple cards is to stop amassing large numbers of points on one card. This attracts too much attention. I have heard there are staff checking points at a certain level. I don't know the level.

One chap had over £1,000 worth of deal vouchers cancelled.....and received nothing.

If you really must collect 'extreme' amounts of points, think carefully how you do it.

    Good Luck

  • I'm a newbie to the Tesco clubcard and have just started online shopping with them so I've got a measly 654 (500 of which I just used an online voucher code for). Hopefully by making use of everyone's great tips on these Tesco threads my next quarter will be better.
My mantra is "Never pay full price!" ;)
  • Hi I'm at just under 4500 this quarter. Having just redeemed £210 worth of club card deals for a watch in Goldsmiths costing £850!! Can't believe I am walking around with that much on my arm courtesy of Mr T!!!

Keep nagging them, I sent loads of emails. Got an apology last week and was told they would be manually added but they werent, I rang clubcard yesterday and got an email last night saying they had been added and they were there today.
    Good luck
The cleaning and scrubbing will wait till tomorrow, For children grow up, as I've learned to my sorrow.
So quiet down, cobwebs. Dust go to sleep. I'm rocking my baby and babies don't keep.

  • Well after collectively totalling my accounts I have ...............

just under 35,000 - as at 7.35pm it is 34,971 points

which will mean another £1400.00 to spend at MFI this quarter.

I have done well this quarter but always room for improvement - I know that there are others out there with alot more.

I wanted £1,000 in MFI this quarter for my new kitchen (yet to be built) so I am very pleased as I have exceeded my target.

Once the MFI deals close I will be saving for a much needed holiday (from Tescos !) LOL
