Have just noticed that in my last post the email addresses I gave have been deleted by the forum team, sorry I didn't realise it was a no-no. If you google Michael Rake and Ian Livingston you should find their email address at BT.
Hope this gets through the team!

I got an email saying my bill is ready to view. When I try to log in to see it, like I have done for years and years, it no longer lets me see my bill. I get a message 'it's now time to make things easier with bt id'. I get to step 3 'set up your bt id security details' and every time I fill it in, it goes blank. I have phoned 4 times, emailed the last 3 days and get no reply. This is an absolute joke! I have my account number, email address and password and cannot view my bill. What a joke of a company.

I am the official company representative of BT. MSE has given permission for me to post in response to queries about the company, so that I can help solve issues. You can see my name on the companies with permission to post list. I am not allowed to tout for business at all. I have sent an email using your contact us in your profile. So frustrated all weekend. This is my 5th email and yet to get a reply. Every time I phone I get put through to India who are only interested in selling fibre broadband. After 20 years with bt, this is a major eye opener to how poor customer service can be.
• I have had to create this account just to try and get an answer from BT. Switched phone and internet from Talk Talk on the 9th July. Since then I have been left with a disconnected phone and no internet at all. Despite numerous e-mails and attempts to contact BT, I am now in a position where I'm not even being responded to, and no resolution date. Is anyone monitoring this thread capable of helping me? I have e-mailed the BT rep in hope that this is the case. This is the worst experience I have ever had dealing with a company. I have lost my existing phone number, I have lost my internet. Gah.

ceo BT email addy is gavin.e.patterson@bt.com

The only way I got any satisfaction with a serious problem with BT was by emailing the then CEO ( Ian Livingston)

of course he doesn't deal with your complaint but it sure gets through to someone who will
• Thinking Of Switching to BT from another provider? Read My Story.

- On the 24th June I fill in an online application to switch from Talk Talk to BT, I want BT Infinity, arranged for 9th July, all good so far.
- I get my router as promised.
- On the 9th I get cut off.
- Nothing from BT, no text, no phone message, nothing.
- I then get my BT order cancelled.
- Then BT advise via text that I will be contacted with a new date on the 17th July, and also the 22nd July. I have no new date.
- Yesterday I was informed that I could not keep my old number, I now have to have a new phone number, the soonest they can now "fit me in" is the 5th of August.

I e-mail BT residential services every day, they have ignored my mails every day, they don't even bother responding to me. It's actually making me ill.

That's almost a months disconnection. I don't even know if they will fix it then.

Graciously, I understand that they are prepared to waive the £130!!! reconnection fee.

Still thinking of switching?

1 week has went bye. I have phoned 5 times. Sent 5 emails and have not even had a reply. Cannot log into mybt. Luckily my BT broadband contract runs out next month and I can change to a new company
• I moved to my new house, told but they could not fit a new line for ten days, engineer arrived fitted line but could not connect due to tech issues promised to return, never did, waited a week bt informed me as I had not contacted them they cancelled my order, complained, another engineer came connected line now a month since moving, phone ok broadband speed 0.6 to 0.7 mb, complained, several more engineers can't help not on fibre optic and long way from exchange complaint dealt with, had apologies and compensation so rang to explore my options hung on for 40 mins eventually got through, lady in customer services suggested I go elsewhere and they would not charge cancellation, told her this was not an option as bt is only provider of lines in my area, phone went dead, now my email has been suspended and on my account page it says I am leaving bt, who authorised that?, do I have a breach of contract case, I am hitting a stone wall spending hours on phone, Indian call Center says I have a fault and my account is ok account page says I have been suspended.
