pictures not showing up in gallery

Options
afternoon all

I have just posted a few items and the picture I used has appeared in the listing itself but not on the gallery. When I click on my listing it has a red line along the top and says

"Your listing was successful but there's a problem with your gallery picture."

Ive tried putting in a different picture (one that worked fine before) and still same problem. Ive also tried cropping the picture incase it was too big.

Im a bit miffed as they are all buy it now listings costing me a few bob in listing fees and there was no way of knowing there was a problem until the listing went live.

any ideas guys? thank you
Happy days

  • i'm having the same problems. It does say that the problem usually resolves itself in the next 24 hours so check again tomorrow.
Mind you I am on rolling 30 day listings @ 10p so to me it's not as annoying as if it was a 7 day listing...
Not sure what else to do as i have tried different browsers - it must be an ebay problem.
  • Im really hoping its an ebay problem, fingers crossed for us

  • The other thread 'uploads failing' seems to be the same topic, so it's not just you.
  • I just got this email...

    Dear XXXX,

There was an issue generating the Gallery picture for your listing:
    XXXX

    Why it didn't work:
We were unable to download your picture named:
    xxxx

    Here's how to fix it:
Either the Internet was very busy when we tried to download your picture and we could not get through, or the Web server hosting your picture is not functioning correctly. Contact your web server administrator to make sure the server is OK.
You can provide a new URL, or request that we try to download your picture again, by going to:
    http:xxx
To fix the error with your picture, click "Resolve issue."
  • seem to have fixed the problem. I uploaded my pics via a different computer (my OHs laptop) and seems to have done the trick. I am a bit concerned that my trusty old PC doesnt seem to be loading them though.
    Happy days
