saw a good DTD in my local store today.. the one where i had probs with the security, and the 4p items yest..... do you think its worth the risk??.... they cant really refuse the DTD once its done can they?? - i think i would have to keep my nose clean for a while after this one.. so avoiding the store for a while...... soo tempted.. i know its gonna be there tomorrow too... would get OH to do it, but hes a wimp and bottles it when they offer JTD..... So would have to be all my hard work..... but a nice little pay off.... what you guys recon??

PS - once ive done it, or if i do it, ill let you all know.. only reason im not saying more, is because its kinda store specific. :/

ooooh hdfkjshjhdjtssiadf... just burnt my (homemade) chicken pie whilst contemplating what to do... ha ha ha.... but yet, here i am.. still typing away..... im sure the burnt bits will scrape of... lol

This is sooooo off topic, but i know how you lovely lot are so helpful, and i thought you might know.... if not, then ill post it over on another thread... not quite sure where though... lol

Basically, we are due to pay the last months rent on this property... we have the money, but were thinking of using it to pay for the deposit on the new house instead.. then paying for the rent that is owed on this one, with the deposit we paid when we first moved in.... (if that makes sense at all...???)

Will this (rent arrears in effect) affect our chances of getting the new property, or will it not matter as we will have already put the deposit down??

thanks for any help in advance.. Love you guys!

PS - HappyChappy - Get to the docs!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm not an expert but I think you're not allowed to use your deposit money as the last rent payment by law...? It's a separate issue and you have to pay your rent no matter what(all issues are to be discussed separately with your LL like any repairs/refunds etc.)

Maybe talk to your current LL, explain the situation and ask if you can have (part of) the deposit money earlier?(I know my LL's previous tenants got part of the deposit earlier as they had to pay deposit for the new flat)

If you have plenty of other stores to go to go for it! I'd do! :p
The worst case scenario is they will ban you... If not you can still go on your bargain hunts there ;) good luck and report back! :T

Oh before I call it a night just wanted to share a tip i've used when trying to sneak 1p/4p items through SS
Take a couple of random items you DON'T want
If at any point she comes close to you'd screen and you think your in trouble I just hand over the surplus item and say sorry is it ok if I put this back? Hand her the item at which point I have had most of them either go to put it at thd CS desk or off to put it back in the correct department giving you a valuable few minutes to get it all through!

Make sure its chilled or frozen as it has to bee put back straight away ;)

    Afternoon all:)

Tesco related: Did anyone do the recent tesco clothing glitch( 2 x £10 codes) and return any items?.
It looks like I might have to return part of my order but don't know if the store would just refund the actual price paid for each item, or return them to the warehouse for refunding. I'd hate to keep some of them and then have the whole discount taken off when processed.

I returned 3 of my 5 items and they will only refund what you paid, which I think they work it out as a percentage, if you look on your delivery note it will tell you the price you paid. you won't pay any more for the items you keep IYSWIM!
I rang tesco clothing because the items were too big for DD and they won't exchange and so I had to place another order..I complained that the items I wanted were now under £40 so I wouldn't get a discount on these , so they gave me a £5 credit for my order:D

The only glitch is the Frootz, the Variety cereal packs are only 49p, lots of socks bought and HappyChappy has been wielding a hat pin.

Kellogs Variety packs at B4ldock scanned at 99p or are they the wrong ones?

DS has just walked into my office (It's at home!!) with his 4p pyjamas on and commented that their comfy but he wouldnt let his friends see him in them:rotfl: He's another one that puts his jimmys on the minute he gets home. Can't put mine on yet as I have a bit of shopping to do;););)and I'm not even testing the choccie glitch, it permanently feels like xmas in my house with all the chocolate about and I am just rubbish at resisting it!

Did you find them really long? DS put them on and he thought they'd be better with a load chopped off! And no he isn't that short - about 5'11".
