    Profit:

    =Price paid - ((Price paid - SEL price) * 2)
    =34.99 - ((34.99 - 8) * 2)
    =34.99 - (26.99 * 2)
    =34.99 - 53.98
    =-18.99

As long as the price paid was at least double what you should have paid then you break even or make profit.

OMG, Mr Haywood from year 9 maths is on MSE:eek:

Thomas blow up beds were SEL £8 or £8.50, can't remember which, and I knew that some were going through at 4ish, but I needed two for my little man and my nephew so they can have a sleep over at nannies. So i didnt even price check, was just willing to pay the 8, or see if i got a bonus reduction and they might've gone at 4 like some others have reported

Imagine my horror when they scanned at 35!! Well, 34.99 to be exact!!!

    OMG. I nearly fainted!!!

So, i got over charged £27 per thomas bed, dtd £54 - but for 2 beds = the whopping £108

I am now all about the karma.... um, and korma, I quite like korma too, lol

    :laugh::laugh:

great find! Ive been looking out for the Thomas / toy story beds at Tesco cos I'd love one for my son for xmas but can't seem to find any. Which store was this?

The final price is the price you paid minus the DTD. If the DTD figure is bigger than the price you paid then you're in profit.

Sorry, I've a maths background so maybe overcomplicated.

where do you get stuck?....we'll try and help.

The 'Price paid', was the price it went through the til for.
The 'SEL' was the price Karen thought it should have been

*I think I may have confused matters*
