  • A suggestion Nik . . . Why dont you ask people to set the 'link' to keep the grabbits where they are onto their signatures? ;) :T

    links aren't allowed in signatures

PS2. Glad our thread is back to normal today! :j (well nearly... and we would really appreciate if the person(s) who stayed would try to be friendly and not to cause any more arguments?)

PS3. sorry... :o because of what's going on with T grabbits I think we should post the best finds on here as well so nobody misses out because they don't have time to look in so many different places for good deals? :A
Believe me I'm not trying to start an argument but just point out why some people might think some threads have lost their intended main focus by the words highlighted . As a relative new active follower of the shopping threads it is this one that caused me some confusion. Is it a discussion thread and about what?Is it a facebook type thread without pictures? Is it WI a coffee morning/tesco cafe. The small group that seem to dominate the thread have every right to use it as a social forum but shouldn't it be somewhere else or have a different title? Just a few thoughts. No offence intended
    Awaiting a new sig

Bring on the cold weather and snow as I love lying in bed watching the snow fall as it's very calming.

I just opened my second box of Finish from dtd days. I thought I'd bought enough for about 2 years' supply, but at this rate it'll be nearer 3! (still got lots of strawberry comfort, kinda gone off that now :( )

Sadly I missed out on DTD days (sigh) so now strawberry comfort for me - fancy trading some for some Comfort Pure - I think I might have over stocked on those :o

Agree with QPRanger, would like toilet rolls to be glitched as my stores didn't have any cheap Andrex 12 packs.

Lidl sometimes do 24 roll packs of Charmin for £6.99 - not a glitch but a decent deal

nearest to me is london :( probably for the best though, i love these donuts!! could quite happily eat them everyday :)

My nearest Xtra has a KK underneath it - v.dangerous when going shopping hungry - though I tend to prefer the glazed ones only. Our local Metro used to have one of those little displays but took it out recently :(

Decided to give Mr T a miss today, so Metro only for me if there's any glitches tomorrow and next Xtra visit not until Thurs, still on the hunt for the elusive Lumies for Xmas (not holding out too much hope though)

Made apple crumble using my 8p casserole dish tonight, sure it made it taste better :rotfl: Could quite do with another one me thinks.

    Keep on glitching folks xx

i think thats about right, we chat about anything. but the title of this thread has got discussion in capitals. but we also throw in a few deals as well.
  • I'm not sure where I stand on the issue of what the contents of this thread should be...on the one hand, it seems that the best deals are mentioned here and I for one have found things through this thread that I would have missed if they were only on the other boards.
On the other hand, it cAn sometimes take a long time to get through the unread posts, especially after a short absence or if you're browsing on a mobile.
But then again, the chit-chat and familiar names is what makes me return here, indeed what made me come out of lurkdom, register and start posting about my own finds... I vote we keep the ambience of Thread 11 and not stress too much about the finer details!

One suggestion I do have, is that it might be good if only registered users could access the thread? I've been on other forums where you need to be registered to enter certain areas and it does seem to encourage people to contribute instead of just lurking. There might also be an option to see who is online and in which area of the forum...just an idea
