I am! :( It' like waiting to be hung sat here hanging on for news. I should be distracting myself, but i can't help but dwell.

Hello uropachild and others affected by this dreadful news

I'm not a WAG of a BAE employee but I live not too far away from the Brough plant. I was shocked to learn that 899 jobs have been lost! There have been so many redundancies and lost jobs at Brough BAE Systems over recent years.

This awful news doesn't just affect the BAE employees, it affects the local businesses and all of the residents of Brough.

My connection to the Brough BAE site is through playing sport at the Blackburn Welfare Social Club............and my friend's husband used to work there.;)

I have been made redundant in the past and it was a shocking experience..........it's scary to wonder if you'll find another job. I also found out in a similar way to the BAE employees. There was a front page article in the local paper (Hull Daily Mail) about the redundancies at my company.............before we'd been informed. I watched the BBC Look North news last night to hear that this happened to the BAE employees.

I hope that the proposed Siemens 'Humber Wind Turbine Factory' will come to Hull. Job opportunities are desperately needed.

    Thinking of you all.
